House Mates Pre-Release Event

To mark this special occasion, the entire cast and crew gathered for a pre-release event in Chennai, where they interacted with members of the press and media.

Here are some of the key highlights from the event…

Director and Creative Producer Sakthivel said: “Even reading the screenplay was interesting. It kept moving across various locations. There was also a question of whether it could be properly brought to life on screen. For such a challenging subject, everything, art direction, music, stunts, had to be just right. The team handled everything well. Once the film was completed and we were looking at the business, we got a call from Sivakarthikeyan’s office. After watching the film, he said, ‘This is my small support for your team’s effort’ and agreed to present the film. We are very thankful to him. I really like Kaali Venkat. Thanks to him, Darshan Brother, and all the other actors! Just like in the Bigg Boss house, expect the unexpected in this movie too. The film releases on August 1. I request you all to watch the film and show your support.”

Editor Nishar Sheriff said: “‘Housemates’ is my first film. A debut is always special. The director, actors, all of them are my friends. Thanks to producer Vijay Prakash. He did everything for us. The film is releasing on August 1. Watch it and share your thoughts.”

Cinematographer Satheesh said: “This is also my first film. There are even better things in the film than what you saw in the trailer. Come to the theatres on August 1 and watch it. Thank you.”

Art Director Rahul said: “They say one success leads to another. That’s how I got the opportunity for this film after the success of ‘Parking.’ A group of friends have come together to make this film. It was a joy to work on it. Wishing the film all success.”

Actor Abdul Lee said: “In previous films like Captain Miller and Irumbuthirai, even though my roles were small, they were pivotal to the story. I play a similar kind of character in Housemates. I usually have good luck with debut directors. This film is a first for many of us. Best wishes to everyone! Kaali Venkat anna was a big inspiration when I entered acting. Darshan is a favorite in our household. Thanks to the director for giving me a good character. Watch the film in theatres and share your feedback.”

Actress Vinodhini said: “Thanks to the director for giving me a good role in this lovely film. I can confidently say that this is a good film. Sakthivel has worked as the creative producer, and he’s always part of quality projects. When Sivakarthikeyan came on board, this small film became big. Thanks to him too. The growth of both Darshan and Kaali Venkat is impressive. I’m sure once the film is released, everyone’s performance will be appreciated.”

Lyricist Mohan Rajan said: “After Kudumbasthan and Tourist Family, this film has also turned out really well. This is another great film I got to work on this year. It was a joy to work with Sivakarthikeyan, Darshan, and Kaali Venkat. Housemates will definitely be a memorable film for you.”

Music Director Rajesh Kumaresan said: “As soon as I heard the story, I immediately agreed. You’ll definitely like the film. I request you all to come and watch it in theatres.”

Producer Vijay Prakash said: “Rajavel and I have been friends since college. Back then, we never fought. But while making the film, we had a lot of arguments! Once Sakthivel came on board, the team came together and the film progressed energetically. After that, Shanti Talkies’ Arun bro watched the film, and then Sivakarthikeyan joined in. Thanks to Sivakarthikeyan and his team, who took care of everything for the film. The movie is releasing on August 1. We need your full support.”

Director Ravikumar said: “I went to watch the film when SK invited me as a friend. After watching it, I came out and told the director, ‘You’ve made a winning film!’ There are many surprises in the film beyond what the trailer shows. I can understand how happy the whole team must be that SK Productions is releasing it. Wishing everyone the very best.”

Director Ajay Gnanamuthu said: “After watching the film, I gave the director a big hug. They’ve made this into a successful film. The whole crew has given excellent support, and the actors have performed very well. The fact that SK Productions has picked up the film is its first big victory. The film has definitely gone to the next level.”

After the trailer dropped, many asked if it was a horror film. But it’s more than that it’s a family entertainer with surprises and an engaging screenplay. சிவகார்த்திகேயன் புரொடக்சன்ஸ் வழங்கும் இயக்குநர் ராஜவேல் இயக்கத்தில் நடிகர்கள் தர்ஷன், காளி வெங்கட், ஆர்ஷா பைஜூ உள்ளிட்டப் பலர் நடிப்பில் உருவாகி இருக்கும் படம் ‘ஹவுஸ் மேட்ஸ்’. ஆகஸ்ட் 1 அன்று திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாக இருக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தின் ப்ரீ ரிலீஸ் ஈவண்ட் நடைபெற்றது.

இயக்குநர், கிரியேட்டிவ் புரொடியூசர் சக்திவேல், “இதன் திரைக்கதை படிப்பதற்கே சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருந்தது. வெவ்வேறு இடங்களில் டிராவல் ஆகிக் கொண்டே இருந்தது. அதை சரியாக படமாக்கிவிட முடியுமா என்ற கேள்வியும் இருந்தது. சவாலான இந்த விஷயத்தை செய்ய ஆர்ட் டிரைக்‌ஷன், இசை, ஸ்டண்ட் என அனைத்திலும் சரியாக இருக்க வேண்டும். அந்த குழு சரியாக வேலையும் பார்த்தார்கள். படம் முடிந்ததும் அதை பிசினஸ் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றபோது, சிவகார்த்திகேயன் தரப்பிலிருந்து கால் வந்தது. அவர் படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு, ‘உங்கள் குழுவின் முயற்சிக்கு என்னால் ஆன சின்ன சப்போர்ட்’ என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு படத்தை வழங்குவதற்கு மிகவும் நன்றி. எனக்கு காளி வெங்கட்டை மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். அவருக்கும் தர்ஷன் பிரதருக்கும் மற்ற நடிகர்களுக்கும் நன்றி! பிக்பாஸ் ஹவுஸ்மேட்ஸ் போல இந்த படத்திலும் எதிர்பாராததை எதிர்பாருங்கள். ஆகஸ்ட் 1 அன்று படம் வெளியாகிறது”.

ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் சதீஷ், “எனக்கும் இது முதல் படம். டிரெய்லரில் பார்த்ததை விட இன்னும் சிறப்பான பல விஷயங்கள் படத்தில் இருக்கிறது. ஆகஸ்ட் 1 அன்று திரையரங்குகளில் வந்து படம் பாருங்கள். நன்றி”.

கலை இயக்குநர் ராகுல், ” ஒரு வெற்றி இன்னொரு வெற்றியை தேடி தரும் என்று சொல்வார்கள். அப்படித்தான் ‘பார்க்கிங்’ பட வெற்றி மூலம் இந்த பட வாய்ப்பு எனக்கு வந்தது. நண்பர்கள் எல்லோரும் சேர்ந்து இந்த படம் செய்து இருக்கிறோம். இதில் பணியாற்றியது மகிழ்ச்சி. படம் வெற்றியடைய வாழ்த்துக்கள்”.

நடிகர் அப்துல் லீ, “நான் இதற்கு முன்பு நடித்த ‘கேப்டன் மில்லர்’, ‘இரும்புத்திரை’ போன்ற படங்களில் என்னுடைய கேரக்டர் சின்னதாக இருந்தாலும் கதையின் போக்கை மாற்றும்படி முக்கியமானதாக இருக்கும். அது போன்ற ஒரு கதாபாத்திரம் தான் ‘ஹவுஸ் மேட்ஸ்’ படத்திலும். பொதுவாக புதுமுக இயக்குநர்களுக்கும் எனக்கும் நல்ல ராசி இருக்கிறது. இந்த படம் நிறைய பேருக்கு முதல் படம். அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள்! காளி வெங்கட் அண்ணா நான் நடிக்க நுழைந்த சமயத்தில் பெரிய இன்ஸ்பிரேஷன். தர்ஷனை எங்கள் வீட்டில் எல்லோருக்கும் பிடிக்கும். எனக்கு நல்ல கேரக்டர் கொடுத்த இயக்குநருக்கு நன்றி. படத்தை தியேட்டரில் பார்த்துவிட்டு சொல்லுங்கள்”.

நடிகை வினோதினி, ” இந்த நல்ல படத்தில் எனக்கு நல்ல கதாபாத்திரம் கொடுத்த இயக்குநருக்கு நன்றி. இந்தப் படம் நல்ல படம் என்பதை மிகவும் நம்பிக்கையாக என்னால் சொல்ல முடியும். சக்திவேல் கிரியேட்டிவ் புரொடியூசர் ஆக இந்த படத்தில் வேலை பார்த்திருக்கிறார். நல்ல படங்களில் எப்போதும் அவருடைய பங்கு இருக்கும். இந்த சின்ன படத்தில் சிவகார்த்திகேயன் உள்ளே நுழைந்ததும் பெரிய படமாக மாறிவிட்டது. அவருக்கும் நன்றி. தர்ஷன், காளி வெங்கட் இருவரின் வளர்ச்சியும் பிரம்மிக்க வைக்கிறது. படம் வெளியானதும் நிச்சயம் அனைவரின் நடிப்பும் பாராட்டப்படும்”.

பாடலாசிரியர் மோகன் ராஜன், “‘குடும்பஸ்தன்’, ”டூரிஸ்ட் ஃபேமிலி’ படத்திற்குப் பிறகு இந்தப் படம் நன்றாக வந்திருக்கிறது. இந்த வருடத்தில் எனக்கு அமைந்த மற்றொரு நல்ல படம். சிவகார்த்திகேயன், தர்ஷன், காளி வெங்கட் இவர்கள் அனைவருடனும் பணிபுரிந்தது மகிழ்ச்சி. நிச்சயம் ‘ஹவுஸ்மேட்ஸ்’ உங்களால் மறக்க முடியாத படமாக இருக்கும்”.

இசையமைப்பாளர் ராஜேஷ் குமரேசன், “படத்தின் கதை கேட்டதும் உடனே ஒத்துக்கொண்டேன். நிச்சயம் படம் உங்களுக்கும் பிடிக்கும். திரையரங்குகளில் வந்து பாருங்கள்”.

புரொடியூசர் விஜய பிரகாஷ், “ராஜவேலும் நானும் கல்லூரி காலத்தில் இருந்தே நண்பர்கள். அப்போது சண்டை போட்டதில்லை. ஆனால், படம் எடுக்கும்போது நிறைய சண்டை போட்டோம். சக்திவேல் உள்ளே வந்ததும் டீம் செட் ஆகி படம் விறுவிறுப்பாக நடந்தது. அதன் பிறகு சாந்தி டாக்கீஸ் அருண் ப்ரோ பார்த்தார். பின்பு சிவகார்த்திகேயன் உள்ளே வந்தார்.  படத்திற்கு எல்லா விஷயங்களையும் பார்த்து செய்த சிவகார்த்திகேயன் & டீமுக்கு நன்றி. ஆகஸ்ட் 1 அன்று படம் வெளியாகிறது. உங்கள் அனைவரின் ஆதரவும் தேவை”.

இயக்குநர் ரவிக்குமார், “இந்தப் படத்தை பார்க்க SK நட்பு ரீதியில் அழைத்த போது சென்று பார்த்தேன். படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு வெளியில் வந்தபோது இயக்குநரிடம் வெற்றி படம் கொடுத்திருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று வாழ்த்தினேன். டிரெய்லரை விட படத்தில் நிறைய சர்ப்ரைஸ் இருக்கும். SK புரொடக்சன்ஸ் மூலமாக இந்தப் படத்தை வெளியிடுவது படக்குழுவினருக்கு எவ்வளவு சந்தோஷமான விஷயம் என்பதை புரிந்து கொள்ள முடிகிறது. அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள்”.

நடிகர் தர்ஷன், “இதுபோன்ற கதையில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பது என் நீண்ட நாள் ஆசை. அது ‘ஹவுஸ் மேட்ஸ்’ படத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது. என்னை நம்பி இந்த கதாபாத்திரம் கொடுத்த இயக்குநருக்கு நன்றி. படக்குழுவினர் அனைவரும் கடினமாக உழைத்துள்ளனர். படத்தின் ஐடியா, திரைக்கதை இதெல்லாம் சிவகார்த்திகேயன் அண்ணாவுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்தது. படத்தை பிரசண்ட் செய்ய ஒத்துக்கொண்டதற்கு அண்ணாவுக்கு நன்றி. டிரெய்லர் பார்த்துவிட்டு நிறைய பேர் ஹாரர் படமா என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதையும் தாண்டி என்கேஜிங்கான திரைக்கதையும் ஆச்சரியங்களும் கொண்ட ஃபேமிலி எண்டர்டெயின்மெண்ட் படம் இது. காளி வெங்கட் அண்ணாவுடன் நடித்தது மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவம். படம் பார்த்துவிட்டு உங்கள் ஆதரவை கொடுங்கள்” என்றார்.
