Rishikanth Opens Up About the Emotional Response to ‘Dorothy’ and the Love Pouring In for His Performance as Karthi

Actor Rishikanth, who has consistently explored varied characters and showcased his acting abilities over the years, reached another significant milestone with Modha Rathiri and has now delivered a deeply affecting performance in Karthik Subbaraj’s Dorothy. Since its theatrical release, the actor’s portrayal of Karthi has been receiving positive appreciation, with audiences responding to the character on a deeply personal level.

“That’s a blessing that I never saw coming,” says an emotional Rishikanth, reflecting on the response to the film. “We all made the film with the blind hope and conviction that the global audience would love this movie. Of course, when you’re expecting bouquets, you should also be ready to receive the brickbats, especially with experimental movies. However, Karthik Subbaraj has made it more appealing with his top-notch presentation and engrossing screenplay.
